‘Unstoppable Police Project’
Advisory Board Member of Yuva Unstoppable joins the fight against the global pandemic COVID-19. Launches the ‘Unstoppable Police Project’ to support the police force of India and their families with a thank you kit. The kit comprises of the basic health and hygiene equipment as well as a special acknowledgment note. The objective is to reach out to the maximum number of police, men, and women, across the country. And protect them and their families from getting infected by Covid-19 as they lay bare their lives to protect others.
The Project Kicks-Off in Gujarat
This initiative kicked off in Ahmedabad, in the presence of Shri Ashish Bhatia, Commissioner of Police, Ahmedabad. Team Yuva distributed around 1000 kits to the Police posted near the Railway station. We further plan to support police force in other parts of Gujarat, Delhi, UP, Punjab, Haryana, and Maharashtra. The Team sends kits to central locations in the states. They are then further distributed to the police further across. The aim is to reach out to and keep safe close to around 5,00,000 police personnel and their family members. They are the country’s frontline warriors at the moment. 100% of the donations received from this campaign will go straight towards benefiting the beneficiaries. Our PM in his speech mentioned that police personnel should be taken care of. He also thanked people who were already helping and supporting them.
Rationale behind Unstoppable Police Project
We launched ‘The Unstoppable Police Project’ to prevent further spread of COVID-19 in India. It may lead to an even bigger crisis for the populous country. Lakhs police force are patrolling the streets of India to help people stay indoors, stay safe. They would then be coming in touch with their children and elderly parents and/or other family members at home. These are particularly susceptible to the Corona Virus and would further increase number of at-risk people! Hence, we tied up with the government of various states for distribution of ‘Thank You Kits’ for these ‘True Heroes’ and their heroic families.
