2015 Prince’s Prize for Innovative Philanthropy
On January 26, 2015, I received the 2015 Prince’s Prize for Innovative Philanthropy from HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco. It was truly humbling and momentous. At the event, the Prince highlighted and appreciated Yuva Unstoppable’s work and contribution to the field of philanthropy. “Amitabh Shah and his non-profit’s commitment towards mobilizing the country’s youth for alleviating poverty is commendable and inspiring. They have partnered with over a hundred businesses and organizations to transform government schools in India. They build better toilets and digital classrooms in these schools making them a better place to learn for students. Such cross-sector partnerships demonstrate the importance of collaboration between civil society, industry and governments to achieve sustainable models of development. I congratulate Amitabh Shah and his NGO for this feat”, said the Prince.
In life, we come across many defining moments. Such as meeting your soul-mate, deciding your institution of studies, or finding out the mission of your life. This Award is one such defining moment for Yuva Unstoppable and me. I am truly grateful for such a terrific recognition by HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco. This platform can create new ideas, culture, and partnerships to engage youth globally around activities that promote kindness.
